Mobile Health Firm Medfusion Names Kimberly Labow CEO

Medfusion has named Kimberly Labow CEO of the health IT company, taking the place of former chief executive Vern Davenport. The company gave no reason for the leadership change, saying only that Davenport “recently announced his departure from the company.”

Labow rises to the top post after serving as the Cary, NC-based company’s vice president of product management. In an earlier stint with Medfusion, from 2008 to 2010, Labow served as vice president of marketing, product management, and inside sales. The company’s software helps patients manage medical records, bills, and physician relationships on mobile devices. Medfusion last year raised $3 million in funding to ramp up its commercialization efforts.
