We’re bringing together some of New York’s leading life science entrepreneurs, investors, and executives for an evening of candid stories on March 29, and, until midnight, we’re offering you the chance to save $45 on your ticket.
We’ve added two new speakers to our lineup: Sean Brady, an associate professor at Rockefeller University and the scientific founder of Lodo Therapeutics; and Joel Marcus, chairman, CEO, and founder of Alexandria Real Estate Equities.
Brady will join David Schubert of startup creator Accelerator Corp. and Weill Cornell Medical College biochemist Lewis Cantley, one of the scientific founders of Petra Pharma, to talk biotech company creation in the Big Apple. Petra and Lodo are the first two bets Accelerator has made in New York City, and both have attracted some of the largest financing rounds for Manhattan-based biotech startups in recent memory. Schubert, Cantley, and Brady will give an inside look at how these deals came together, and how they’re trying to help the New York biotech ecosystem continue to gain momentum.
Marcus will kick the event off with an overview of Alexandria’s ongoing plans to help biotech grow and flourish in the city. (Alexandria built the Alexandria Center for Life Science, where Accelerator’s New York startups and a bunch of other local life sciences companies are based.)
