AkitaBox Raises $1.1M to Develop Software for Storing Building Data

AkitaBox, which Hoffmaster launched in August with CTO Robert Steinbock and VP of sales Luke Perkerwicz, had revenues of about $42,000 in 2015. Hoffmaster estimates that figure will jump to about $150,000 this year.

Asked about an eventual acquisition—perhaps to a construction company or large tech firm—Hoffmaster demurs.

“Right now, the focus is really on building the company,” he says.
