Do You Have What It Takes to Dive Into “Shark Tank”?

Calling all Detroit entrepreneurs: “Shark Tank,” the popular ABC show that offers startups the chance to pitch their business ventures to potential investors, will be in Detroit next week in search of contestants. Values Partnerships, Grand Circus, and Brandcamp University are working with the show’s producers to recruit a more diverse set of ideas and startup founders.

For your shot to compete on “Shark Tank,” head downtown to Grand Circus, 1570 Woodward Ave., between 9 am. and 6 pm. on Monday, May 16. If selected, you’ll be asked to make a very quick formal pitch (about 90 seconds) and answer questions from judges. You should bring a product to demo, but you don’t need to prepare a formal presentation. Those who plan to pitch need to register ahead of time; click here to RSVP.
