Cambridge, MA-based Moderna Therapeutics has named University of Massachusetts Medical School biochemistry professor Melissa Moore as its new chief scientific officer. Moore, who is already on Moderna’s scientific advisory board, will start her new role on Oct. 3. She’ll remain a part-time faculty member at UMass Medical School.
