Startups in the Health: US 2018 program will participate in three four-day workshops held between March and June in California and the nation’s capital. At the end of the program, two companies will be selected to receive a $75,000 investment from Village Capital.
—Cimbria Capital, a Houston-based private equity firm that mainly buys and invests in agriculture and water technology businesses, said it opened an office in Milwaukee’s Global Water Center. —Curate Solutions, a Madison-based startup whose software mines documents that cities, counties, and school boards post online for information about new building projects, raised $450,000 from investors. The Idea Fund of La Crosse led the round, and other investors who participated included Inventure Capital managing director Michael Thorson, said Dale Willis, co-founder of Curate Solutions.
