Index Ventures is the lead investor in an $8.5 million Series B financing round for Milpitas, CA-based Gluster, the company announced today. Existing investor Nexus Venture Partners also took part in the round. Gluster makes an open-source platform for managing network-attached storage devices like those used in corporate data centers and public and private storage clouds.
