The California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (CalIT2) will host its 10th anniversary Research Open House, and dozens of faculty, staff, and students will be giving TED-style talks in three locations. Visitors can tour the Nano3 cleanroom wing of Atkinson Hall, visit tech demonstrations in more than a dozen laboratories, research centers, and many open spaces. In the evening, composer-in-residence Rand Steiger will demo changes that can re-shape a traditional instrument’s sound with signal processing and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Roger Reynolds will introduce the premiere Integrated Perspectives Recording in HD of “Sanctuary.”
