Akiban Adds $3.2M

Akiban Technologies, a Boston-based provider of database virtualization software for the cloud, has raised $3.2 million atop a $6.5 million financing it announced in July 2009, according to a filing amended with the SEC this week. North Bridge Venture Partners and Foundation Capital participated in the first part of the Series A round for the company, formerly named Akiba, whose software is targeted at the open-source community.
