New York-based hotel-information site Oyster.com confirmed in a blog posting that The Travel Channel has invested $7.5 million in the company. Under the terms of the partnership, Oyster’s content will be featured on The Travel Channel’s TV network and website. Oyster.com, founded in 2008, sends under-cover reviewers to hotels. The site features those reviews, plus a platform for booking hotel stays.
