Cambridge, MA-based IT startup Typesafe announced yesterday that it had pinned down $3 million in a Series A financing led by Greylock Partners, with participation from individual investors who have worked for Facebook, VMWare, Oracle, Google, and more. Typesafe offers a platform for working on the Scala programming language, which is interoperable with Java and is designed for hardware and cloud infrastructures.
