Verinata Health Nabs $46.5M

San Carlos, CA-based Verinata Health said today it has raised $46.5 million in a Series C venture financing, with another $2 million expected to complete the round on Aug. 31. Existing investors Mohr Davidow Ventures, Sutter Hill Ventures, and Alloy Ventures led the financing. Verinata is developing tests which examine maternal blood samples for early detection of chromosomal abnormalities in fetuses.
