The Clean Tech Open, a nonprofit organization formed in 2006 to spur innovation in clean energy, is organizing its first business plan competition in the Pacific Northwest region, which includes Washington, Oregon and Idaho. The competition aims to provide entrepreneurs with business training, services and insights they need to go to market successfully. Three winners will receive $50,000 in cash and services and move on to the national competition, where they will compete for an additional $250,000 in cash and services.
The organization’s kickoff reception will be held at 5:30 pm April 15 at the Arctic Club Hotel in the Northern Light Dome Room. Clean Tech Open steering committee members, sponsors, investors, and leaders from the clean tech community will be on hand to answer questions about the competition, network and share ideas about how to help accelerate the growth of clean technology companies in the Northwest. Cost is $25, which includes light fare and two complimentary drinks. Registration is available online.
