Academic-Industry Collaboration: Can’t We All Just Get Along?

In the first of three colloquia to be held this summer, San Diego’s Center for Ethics in Science & Technology has organized this forum to explore the real ethical issues in collaborations between academic researchers and industry, and to distinguish between real problems and those that are perceived or only speculative. The session is billed as a discussion with Gary S. Firestein, director of the Clinical and Translational Research Institute. Firestein also is the dean and associate vice chancellor of translational medicine at UC San Diego. Online registration is here.
