The Longboard Invitational begins at 7 a.m. at the beach near the Scripps Pier, with a longboard legend joining each company-sponsored team in the 19th annual surf competition. The luau begins at noon on the nearby campus of UCSD’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Survivor Beach and the Longboard Invitational are open to the public.
