Angel investors typically invest in early stage companies and then focus on helping the companies grow, taking a passive attitude toward exits, especially in the early days. The strategy defined by “Early Exits” is to develop an exit plan prior to investing. Startup boards, in particular, should have a continuing focus on exiting early at optimum valuation for the company. The San Diego chapter of the Tech Coast Angels has invited veteran angel Bill Payne to lead this workshop in executing an early exit strategy. More information and online registration is here.
