Student finalists of the UCSD Entrepreneur Challenge will compete for $150,000 in combined cash and prizes. Four finalist teams will present a 10-minute pitch, followed by five-minute Q&A. The finalists in biotechnology and medical technologies are: Electrozyme; Jacobs School of Engineering; Wolf Biosciences, Jacobs School of Engineering ChemoTactics, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences; DevaNano, Jacobs School of Engineering. Winners will be selected on their potential to launch a profitable, scalable company in the immediate future. More information is available here.
