October 15 is shaping up to be an incredible day.
School will have settled into a rhythm, the leaves will be changing, and we are convening a killer group of healthcare experts for our first-ever Xconomy Healthcare Summit. This is an invitation-only event that features the world’s leading innovators, entrepreneurs, scientists, practitioners, and investors in healthcare, health technology, and life sciences.
It’s all taking place at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, MA. We have a very limited number of seats still available, but we’d like to encourage entrepreneurs, technologists, executives, and investors to request an invitation.
We are rapidly finalizing the agenda for the day. I wanted to highlight a few of our speakers who have recently confirmed:
—Juan Enriquez joins us from Excel Medical Ventures. In addition to his track record in business and entrepreneurship, he is a world authority on the economic impact of life sciences on business and society. He will get us all talking and thinking, that’s for sure.
—Mark Levin joins us from Third Rock Ventures, where he is currently involved with a number of high-profile startups such as Foundation Medicine and Warp Drive Bio. He is a master biotech strategist and networker. He was also the longtime CEO of Millennium Pharmaceuticals.
—Phil Sharp joins us from MIT, where he is an Institute Professor and leading authority on molecular biology and biochemistry. He co-founded Biogen and Alnylam and also has that Nobel Laureate thing working for him. Not bad for a Kentucky native who did his PhD in Fighting Illini land.
The program is going to be packed, but we want lots of audience participation and networking time. Some of our other speakers include Mitchell Higashi from GE Healthcare; David Callender from University of Texas Medical Branch; Jason Jacobs from RunKeeper, Joe Kvedar from Partners Healthcare; Tuoyo Louis from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts; Frank Moss from MIT Media Lab; Bill Sahlman from Harvard Business School; Jill Seidman from Healthbox; Daphne Zohar from PureTech Ventures …
Oh heck, just request an invite. We hope to see you on Oct. 15.
