Azuqua Raises $5M for Business Process Creation in the Cloud

With cloud services proliferating, Seattle startup Azuqua has raised $5 million from Ignition Partners to help businesses create processes that integrate multiple software-as-a-service applications.

The company says its Web-based software allows integration among more than 40 cloud services, helping business users do things like track negative comments on Twitter and automatically send an alert to Salesforce customer databases, allowing a company to provide proactive customer service. Azuqua, which was part of Microsoft’s Windows Azure powered by Techstars accelerator in 2013, says these business processes can be built quickly using its library of “Excel-like” logic and functions without writing any code.

Azuqua sells its software on a monthly subscription basis, starting at $75 a month.

The company, based in Pioneer Square, says this Series A funding will support hiring and product development. Azuqua, headed by co-founders Nikhil Hasija and Craig Unger, has 19 employees.

Ignition managing partner John Connors is joining the Azuqua board.
