TechShop Detroit is partnering with Autodesk, Alphalab Gear, and others to host a competition for hardware startups. Any company with a physical product component is eligible to apply: manufactured products, Internet of Things/connected devices, robotics, furniture, medical devices, etc. The regional winners are eligible to compete in the national finals for the Startbot grand prize of a $50,000 investment; they also take home $1,000, a one-year free membership to TechShop, and support from Autodesk staff to help make their product images look as professional as possible.
