Opening in its 15th city, General Assembly is coming to Denver.
The New York-headquartered tech training and career education institution announced its latest expansion on Monday, with courses at the new location to begin next month.
When the doors officially open in Colorado, General Assembly will offer quick classes such as Coding for Beginners and Intro to UX (user experience) Design. Longer courses will start in May.
Anna Lindow, general manager of campus education and operations at General Assembly, says the Denver expansion is part of a growth plan that has been in place the past few years. General Assembly was drawn to the city’s economic development, real estate development, and growth of the local tech sector in the city, she says. “It looks similar, in a lot of ways, to some of the other markets where we found success.”
As it has done elsewhere, General Assembly will move into space in Denver’s Globeville neighborhood in partnership with coworking office provider WeWork, says Lindow (pictured).
Within the U.S., General Assembly campuses can also be found in such cities as Austin, Boston, San Francisco, and Seattle. Overseas campuses include London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sydney.
