PhotoRocket Names Gary Roshak as CEO

Seattle-based PhotoRocket, which has been maintaining its stealthy startup exterior for months, has hired on interim president Gary Roshak as the company’s first CEO effective immediately, founder and chairman Scott Lipsky told Xconomy today in an e-mail. The 11-person company has raised over $1.1 million in financing to date, and is considering extending its current round to $1.5 million. Lipsky, an early executive at Amazon and a co-founder of aQuantive, hasn’t said exactly what the photo sharing startup is building, although he plans to say more in just a few weeks time.
