Chester “Chip” Davis, Jr. currently serves as Executive Vice President for Advocacy at PhRMA. In this role Davis is responsible for leading and managing PhRMA’s federal, state and international government relations and advocacy efforts. A veteran of the biopharmaceutical research industry, Davis served as Senior Operating Officer of PhRMA from April – November 2010 during the association’s most recent leadership transition.
Prior to joining PhRMA, Davis served as Vice President of Corporate External Relations for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP and was responsible for overseeing the company’s interaction with federal and state governments and health and community stakeholders as well as strategic alliances, community relations and employee volunteering efforts. He also served as a member of the AstraZeneca Corporate Affairs Leadership team and was Vice-Chairman of the AstraZeneca Political Action Committee.
