Sonosite (NASDAQ: [[ticker:SONO]]), the Bothell, WA-based maker of portable ultrasound machines, announced today it will purchase San Diego-based CardioDynamics International (NASDAQ: [[ticker:CDIC]]), a developer and manufacturer of noninvasive medical diagnostic tools for cardiovascular disease.
