Randall T. Moon is a Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Washington, an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the William and Marilyn Conner Chair and Founding Director of the Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, and a co-founder of Fate Therapeutics. He received his B.A. degree in Biology at New College, Sarasota, FL, his Ph.D. in Zoology at the University of Washington, and was a postdoctoral fellow in molecular biology at the California Institute of Technology. Since returning to the University of Washington as a faculty member his research has focused on the functions and mechanisms of action of Wnt signal transduction pathways in normal tissues, in chronic diseases, and in regenerative responses to acute injury. Dr. Moon has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, to the Washington State Academy of Sciences, and is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
