Microsoft Layoff Toll in WA: 872

Washington State’s Employment Security Department has confirmed that 872 Microsoft employees are losing their jobs in Seattle, Redmond, Issaquah, and Bellevue. The layoffs are effective March 23. Last Thursday, Microsoft announced it was slashing 1,400 jobs immediately, with up to 5,000 to be cut in the next 18 months.
