TriQuint Wins $4.5M Navy Contract
Hillsboro, OR-based TriQuint Semiconductor has announced it has won a 21-month, $4.5 million contract from the Office of Naval Research to manufacture high-power, high-frequency gallium arsenide amplifiers. The technology is used in radar, electronic warfare, and communications applications. TriQuint (NASDAQ: [[ticker:TQNT]]) is a maker of integrated circuits for communications, defense, and aerospace.

Qualcomm Offers Fuel Tracker
San Diego’s Qualcomm introduced a new fuel manager program yesterday as part of its truck fleet performance monitoring service. Qualcomm said the addition to its OmniVision Transportation software enables trucking fleet managers to identify patterns of unnecessary fuel use, such as speeding, idling and over-revving their engines.
Avaak Raises $7M
